I reach home on Friday evening. First time taking bus back home and it was really tiring. Pudu raya was really jam so I walked quite a distance to take Rapid KL back home. I thought by the time I reach home I will fall half dead, but amazingly I was hyper instead, went McD for dinner (as I've been craving for prosperity burger for quite some time), then to Carrefour to get some stuff and a hair cut =)

Saturday morning, I went to church to practice piano for the next day service, fingers are quite stiff coz long time never play d. Got to practice more.. Haha. Then off to shopping in the afternoon and reunion dinner at my parents' hometown--Banting.

Dinner for the night

New day, new morning, started my day in church, where Mrs. Foo shared bout yesterday, today and tomorrow during sermon. It reminded me to forget about the hatred in the past, love God and your neighbours, and not to worry about the future. A good reminder for us all because when we get busy in life, these are the things that we tend to forget.

Now am back at home blogging, feel like i need to study but not in the mood ler.. Wednesday will be going back adi, didn't get to meet my friends and all. aih..

Maybe the next time I come back, will try to meet up yea.

What a long day I had in school yesterday (It's 1am in the morning now).

MAE club was having V-day event, had different booths in the day and movie screening at night.
There were flowers, teddies, puzzles and other things for sale. It was a tiring day but did had some fun too. I don't have the pics for the event but i do have one polaroid photo with some of the committee members.

I know it's blur but I don't have a better camera, so bear with it yea. Haha..

At night during the movie screening, I was outside at the booth, and here came by a man with his wife who were both foreigners. They stopped and looked at our booth. We tried to persuade them to buy flowers from us but they said that they're going to leave Singapore tomorrow so they don't want to buy fresh flowers. We talked for a while and got to know that they were from Isreal. We wanted to give them a stalk of rose but the lady refused. The man then took out $2 from his wallet and asked for 2 flowers. He then gave one flower to Siew Peng and another to me (we're the only girls there that time). We were kinda surprised but happy for that little act of his.

We thanked them and took a photo with them. It's so sweet of them to stop by and talked to us all. They said they will send us the photo we took with them through email, maybe I can show you all after i receive it.

Hey all, I just came back from a long and tiring day.

I went to Sentosa today for the FOC outing. Played a few station games and it just felt like we're back to FOC. Although tired but i did manage to have fun, and putting aside my studies for awhile.

I won't talk much about it first, as yesterday was the MSA chinese new year celebration, so I decided to blog bout both events. I shall make this post a preview for what's coming next. Haha..

I don't know.. I felt so lazy and keep distracted by the computer, but I need the computer.. haha.

Today evening after class I met up with Joan who came to NTU to get a book she bought from someone, so we manage to have dinner together. We chit chat and catch up with each other a little. Although just a short time we spent together but I'm happy. Ever since few of us came to study in Singapore we hardly meet up because everyone is busy with our own things.

This sem classes all ends in the evening, which makes me felt so tired every time I get back to my room, then hardly can study anything. This coming weekends will be busy also with MSA CNY dinner and FOC outing. I wonder where I can find the time to study..

Worst of all, there will be a few CAs coming up the week after CNY, which means....
I HAVE TO STUDY DURING CNY!!!

Oasis of the Seas

I'm really tired now actually but was so into looking at this thing-----Oasis of the Seas, that I decided to share a bit over here =)

Maybe some of you heard bout it before adi.. or maybe I'm really outdated. For those who don't know, this is the Oasis of the Seas:

Currently the world's largest passenger vessel. It's HUGE!!!

The ship can carry 6000+ passengers and 2000+ crew.. That's massively alot ok.. And look at what facilities they have on board:

a flying fox, a casino, a mini-golf course, multiple night clubs, several bars and lounges, a karaoke club, comedy club, four swimming pools, volleyball and basketball courts, theme parks and nurseries for children.

Besides, they have an aqua theater, where swimmers and divers perform.

A rising tide bar--a bar that can move to multiple levels of the deck.

Rock climbing, and the suites are on the left of the rock, on the right are rooms..

A garden
And other facilities which I don't know.. Just imagine, it's like a floating Genting Highlands. hmm...

Maybe you guys will think that why am I so fascinated by such a ship, which some of you might find it not very interesting. But just think of the size of the ship and the size of a man, what a drastic difference!!!
Yet.. the ship is designed by men, built by men, operated by men.. think bout it ^^

I wish I have a chance to board that ship without sailing (don't ask why).. but i wonder how much does it cost to spend a night on board.
Anyway, I just love the ship, she's beautiful..
Thumbs up to the ENGINEERS!!!

Looking at my planner..... HAIH!!! Yet another busy week awaits me. Honestly I have the feeling of knocking my head to the wall.. or maybe choking myself..

This sem is really much much busier compared to the previous. Now I can thank God that I took less au. I seriously hope that I can manage my time well, and most important of all.. that I will not neglect spending time with God. That's really important and I keep reminding myself.

Is it a good thing to be busy anyway??
Keeping myself busy--then I won't think too much about sad things.. That's true, but being busy till forgetting God.. that's a no no. People say busy is:

B - Being
U - under
S - satan's
Y - yoke

So.. don't take busy as your excuse for not spending time with God.

Hey, one hectic week just passed. I was seriously exhausted for the past weekdays, but am glad to have sufficient rest on Saturday. *some pictures with meaningful words in between, so won't be that boring reading it*

Let's talk bout my timetable for this sem first, shall we? (you have no choice anyway..)

This sem my timetable is really bad, for me laa.. Coz there's always a BIG gap between my morning classes and my afternoon classes, which makes me headache coz i'll need to wake up early in the morning, go all the way to lecture theater which is 20mins away just for a miserable one hour class, then I don't know what to do next...until afternoon. Haih.. but I'll just make my way back to my room most of the time.

Hmm.. as for my subjects.. I wanted to take 22au this sem, but I didn't get to add the electives i wanted, and I can't force myself studying a subject that I'm not interested in, so most probably will be taking 19au only, which i will study hard to maintain my results.

Btw, I felt like this sem I'm studying communication studies rather than Mechanical engineering. See what are the subjects i took:

Physics II*
Mathematics II*
Computing
Effective Communication
Study of Human language
Japanese

maybe I should say half half.. Haha. But I'm happy because I'm studying something I'm interested in, rather than study just to clear the au.
*I don't like ;)

So yea.. although I'm now lack of au because we got to clear an average of 20au per sem, but I'm still satisfy about it.

this one reminds me of the love letters that primary school students will write. LOL

Today's the 2nd day of new sem and i only have one class in the afternoon. So just spend my time online the whole morning. Seriously I'm getting so lazy to blog.. how la rachel??? Even so lazy to find for pictures to put here. hmm... gotta make myself more into blogging? Don't know what am I saying also. Wait till one day when i finally realise i need to blog more, then you all can see more post. So till now.. still don't have the mood. ahahaha... bye bye.

Hi everyone.. I'm soooooo off, didn't update for quite some time d. Since now I have the time, should start posting something.

Christmas was yesterday and I did had a great celebration in church, a simple musical drama, dance, choir, and sermon, then enjoyed taking pics with friends. Thank God again for sending Jesus for us that we can celebrate Christmas, the most beautiful season of the year =)

I'm currently in Thailand now, but really don't know what to do. So now resting in my hotel room while waiting for my mom and my relatives finish their shopping and foot massage. Bought Lay's potato chips, anyone??

Anyway, really hope to join the youths for youth camp in Cameron Highlands. Hope you guys will have alot of fun and at the same time learn bout God's word, and able to MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
(Rachel, I want my youth tee still!!)

Have you been through a situation where you're so helpless that you can turn to no one except God? It's like you can't do a thing but to pray and pray and pray. I'm sure most of us experienced that before, and it's through these experience our faith in God grew stronger.

Yea it feels great to be at home, there's no other place like home. The sermon i heard on my first sunday back home strike me a lot (sorry I don't feel like sharing it here). God is telling me to do as what He wants me to do, to learn and to apply it in my life. My friend once told me, to listen and learn God's word is easy, but to apply it is tough. I kinda agree with that, It seems easy yet not so easy to do it actually.

A short post this time, nothing much to share. Thank God for everything, be it good or bad times.

Hi everyone.. I know i should be sleeping by now, but just finish watching a movie with my friends in one of their room, and will be sleeping over tonight. Six of us together. We had a steamboat dinner at can 5 and it was not bad actually. Just want to have some fun before a few of us go back home, and......

Finally today I'll be going home!!

Hmm.. thinking what's the first thing i wanna do when i reach home, I think it would be lying down on my favourite couch and soon I'll doze off.. Hahaha.. It's just the comfort you have at home. Of course to catch up with my friends and I do really miss home very much =)

I'm not really sleepy now, over excited?? not really... Just felt like... wanna spend some time reflecting on certain things, which will put a smile on my face ^_^

Will be home in 13 hours.. Haha.. and i shall enjoy my holiday.. hopefully. Bye all!!

Hey all, exam is finally over. Honestly i did do my best, so i shall just let God do the rest. Just had my dinner with my friends, as i walked back, was thinking what should i do tonight?? So decided to really blog bout something, since I've been really inactive for some time.

I just can't wait to go back, I wish to just fly back home now.. I don't know why, throughout the exam period till now, God really thought me what it is to be patient. I seems to be very impatient. There are loads of waiting--waited for exam to come, waited to sit for the exam, waited for exam to finish, and now, I have to wait to go back. PATIENCE--one word that i used to think it's easy to do but seems so hard for me now. haih..

Anyway, I've shown you guys my room when i first came here, now i shall show you all the outside view of my hall and block.

Currently they are busy renovating for the coming Youth Olympic Games (YOG) next year, so the lightings are new actually. They taking their own sweet time to renovate the toilet and pantry. Since I move in till now the pantry is not even done renovating yet. Hopefully next sem everything will be done.

Tomorrow will be another long day for me as i really can't wait to go back home now. Just need to be....PATIENT. aih.. See you all back at Subang soon k.

2 down, 4 more to go!!!

Seriously I can't wait to go home.. Really want to finish exam asap and go back to my home sweet home. I miss my home so much and everyone back there..

Just want to share abit.. Today I went to church and the pastor preached about LOVE.

Love is not just a feeling and love is not uncontrollable. Love is a matter of choice and a matter of conduct. We're familiar with the verse in 1 Corinthians 13,

⁴Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. ⁶Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. ⁷It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Faith without action is dead, same goes to love.. We need to act out the love in us. The greatest commandment: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind; and love your neighbors as yourself. Sometimes we tend to do the latter without the former. The key to loving others is God's love to us. God wants us to show the love He has for us to others as well..

When you find it hard to love someone, especially those who we find hard to love, remember that God is the key, remember that God has selflessly love us.

I was told that Doulos is in Singapore now, Sabrina keep encouraging me to go and visit. Although I've been there before, this time i was thinking if any of my friends want to go then i'll go. So I spread the news around, a few of my friends decided to go. So after church, we took the MRT together to Vivo city.

Unlike in Port Klang where we can see the whole beautiful ship from afar, here the ship is near the shopping centre (in front of the shopping centre door). So can't really take the picture of the whole ship.

I just went up the ship for awhile then sat down and wait for my friends. I heard that the ship won't be sailing anymore but don't know by when. But I believe many lives have been changed because of her and the people on board.

Sorry all for not updating my blog after so long. I do have a lot of things to share but i don't have the time to really blog about it. So i shall give a very short summary of what i want to share:

a) I received my birthday gifts from Rachel and the youths just before i went back for my recess week. So sweet of you guys to send me through mail. Thanks all!!

b) I went back Malaysia for my recess week, gave the youths a little surprise and made Rachel angry. Lol. Enjoyed the week and manage to spend time with family and friends.

c) I'm back in Singapore again. Will work hard and do my best for my finals.

That's all. Very short. Anyway. I won't be updating very often now coz will be busy with studies. Just as i said in my first post, no promise for frequent updates. Bye all and take care :)

My birthday!! haha.. woke up at 9.30 in the morning, got no mood to study at all. Athena will be having a bbq gathering at night. Talking bout my birthday, i did had a small surprise from the MAE social committee members the day before. We were supposed to have a meeting, then they sang a birthday song when i entered the room. Was unexpected. Thanks for the cake and it's really nice.

Back to today, we went to Jurong Point to buy the ingredients for bbq then head back to hall. I went to help out doing the Mid-Autumn Festival (MAF) dedication bottles and was rushing coz not many people came to help. We rush to sort everything out and i was late for the bbq. We had a great time fellowship-ing with one another and they also celebrated my birthday with Anyi (a girl two days younger than me but she's 3rd year d). Then we juniors also gave the seniors each a dedication. Really a warm gathering and celebration we had.
*will be great if i get to celebrate my birthday with that someone special*

After cleaning up i went back to my hall and went to distribute the dedications around 1am. I got 2 dedications. pictures below.. hehe. Slept at 3am.

Woke up 9.30am because have to go to church. Went to Faith Methodist Church in commonwealth. Then had lunch with 3 of my friends at McD coz they wanted to treat me for my birthday. Spent some time chit chatting. Later went back to my room for awhile, then got to start preparing for MAF at night. We made sandwiches in the pantry and also cocktail. Simple yet tasty supper. Later at night we had our new hall area MAF celebration. Although we only manage to play one game, but we got everyone to enjoy and bonding. We then have lanterns and fire crackers to play with. Then we had our lantern walk to middle hall area and walk back. After cleaning up, went back to my room, bathe then did a little of assignment questions and goodnight. slept at 3am....again.

Was reluctant to wake up.. 11am only get off my bed, too tired maybe. Did some questions coz last two days was busy and didn't touch my work. Then at 1pm went for meeting in canteen A, just a short one, but later our president Nicholas told us that they prepared steamboat as a form of appreciation for all the hall mags. I wanted to join but this Chi Tatt say he coming to meet me at Jurong Point. So i was thinking maybe i meet up with him first then only come back and eat. When i reach the train station, he told me that he just board the MRT and he have to stop at 24 stations to reach JP. Haih... So waited for him for an hour. After we ate, i brought Chi Tatt to NTU and we walked alot. Make him exercise. Hahaha. But too bad i miss the steamboat lor...

So now after all the fun i had for the last few days, it's time to study. 2 CA's coming up this week. Physics 8 chapters.. How to cover laa??? haih.. nvm. I can do it!! Byezz.

Supper Hop

So soon another week pass by. Just had my maths CA on friday and it was okay, just one question test, hope i don't do any careless or silly mistakes. This week will be life science CA. Need to study liao......

In the midst of all the stress, I went for supper yesterday. It was an outing for the MSA main committee members. Supposed to have a trip to some island but since the response wasn't that good, they came out with another plan-----Supper Hop!!!

Yea, supper hop, means hop around for supper??? They booked a shuttle bus for the night. We gather at different bus stops around 10.30pm and waited for the bus to pick us up.

11.30pm - Changi Village, which is famous for their nasi lemak (so so only).
1.00am - Old Pasar near Raffles place i think, tried murtabak and fish ball soup (also not very nice).
2.45am - Geylang, had egg tart (this is better).
~next in the list was Newton Circle but somehow the shops there were closed already~
3.45am - Jalan Kayu, for mamak (still miss the mamak in M'sia coz it's so much nicer).

I just had a little of this and that coz it was late at night, or i should say early in the morning. We ate and finally back to NTU at 5.00am. Just a different kind of outing and experience.

Slept at 5.30am and woke up at 9.30am cause need to go to church. Just felt that time really flies, so fast it's night again. Coming Sunday will be our MSA mid-autumn festival celebration. Got to prepare for that since I'm the hall manager for my hall. Hope everyone will come and join the event. (seems useless to type here coz none of my sg friends know that i have a blog, lol!!)

Ok.. All ready for a new week ahead?? Yea.. with Him I can go on!!!

Worst weekend ever...still there's a BUT

Two days, depression kicks in. Felt the loneliness when all are far away. I'm trying really hard and i need support, but higher hopes leads to higher disappointment. Maybe i should just hope and don't expect like what Rachel said??

Looking at the amount of things to do and read. Trying my best to do my tutorials all on time, but when do I find time to study? I did all my questions but how much do I understand? Of course I need to take it easy, but the environment here like doesn't allow me to do so.

Hmmmm......

Ok.. Finally I went to church today. It is a Presbyterian church. I was reminded that God not just wants us to know His word, He also wants us to apply them in our lives. The sermon points out so clearly that when we're in trials we need to rejoice too. It's like pointing at me telling me that. The Joy of the Lord is my strength!! Few verses to share:

James 1:2 -- count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet various trials.

Romans 8:28 -- We know that everything God works for good with those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.

God is reassuring me again that the trials and hard times I'm facing now it's not bad after all. I need to have the joy of the Lord and rejoice even during my hard times. He has His purpose in me and for each one of you too!!

Maybe or most probably you'll find me winding bout this again, but i pray that what i've learn today will stop me from doing so. =P

I'm ok by now, although still hurt but am recovering i guess. Hope so...

Really not much to blog about, no inspiration maybe, but feeling kinda tired, as if the race never have a break. (think too much). Just got to cling on to God and continue on. I read this phrase in ODJ and i find it interesting:

"O merciful Redeemer, may i know Thee more clearly, love Thee more dearly, follow Thee more nearly, day by day"

Let us all seek God and know Him more everyday. =)

It's 2am in the morning. I'm sort of used to sleeping late nowadays but it's really not good for health. hmm... Anyway. not much things happened last few days, but time do flies, so just drop by and say HI to all =) Will update soon. nights!!

Merdeka Night...A loooooong Night

Yesterday night was Merdeka Night organized by MSA. Many Malaysian students in NTU gathered together to celebrate national day. The program for the night was great, performance, games, and the sketch was really a good one!! Thumbs up to the committee and seniors. Will upload some pictures next time k =)

After the event, most of the OG decided to go for supper. Our group was abit undecisive but finally went supper around 1am. After supper thought it was time to go back, but instead we went to ADM building again, this time on the roof, and sit there and talked for hours. Shared some of this and that with each other. Some were sleepy but still enjoyed the talk and the cool wind on top of the building.

Finally at 5.30am we decided to make a move, some were too exhausted so went back to their room. The rest??? since in an hour time we can see the sun rise, we chose to stay and wait for it. We walked to Nanyang House which is somewhere higher to have a better view. Continue talking while waiting. Too bad it was too cloudy and we weren't able to see the sun rise, but the view there is still beautiful.

Around 7am, we finally walked back to our own room and have some rest. And it started raining in the morning, and lasted the whole afternoon. The weather was so cooling.

Birthday on a WET day

Hi everyone, was back in Singapore on Wednesday. Trying to catch up with my studies yet I didn't get to do much. Athena having a gathering cum birthday celebration for two members, so we had steamboat for dinner together at Hall 8. I went there around 7pm to help prepare the food, then waited for people to arrive and the soup to boil.

So we had our dinner together, everyone fellowship and enjoyed the food together.

After dinner, we celebrated Sin Ying and Kuan Chuang's birthday. Sin Ying's on the 28th and Kuan Chuang's on the 30th. Sang the birthday song and played awhile with birthday boy and girl.

It was already past 11pm, we were too noisy till the hall office people came and ask us to leave in 10 minutes. So we changed venue and went to Arts, Design and Media building (ADM). It is the nicest building you can find in NTU, but too bad it was dark so can't take picture of it. You can actually climb up the roof of this building and enjoy the scenery from up there. Romantic place though. Will take picture of it next time and show you all. This is what I got:

Can see the pond/pool there

There's this tradition in NTU where they will throw birthday boys and girls into the pool(or rather a pond) during their birthday celebration. So the guys started pulling each other into the pond, then later got the girls in also. Of course I was not exempted. All wet, we walked back to our room and it was really cold coz the wind was blowing. Finally get back to my room, bathe, washed my clothes and start blogging.

Anyway I got to remind myself to study. Many things to catch up and do. STUDY YAPEI!!!

What is your priority in your life?? Ever wonder?

Try to list down the things that are important to you, it can be God, family, friends, studies, gf/bf, your car etc. After listing it down, arrange it, putting the one that is most important to you first and so on. What is first in your list?

We can conclude our priority based on the list we made. However, we can know easily whether the list we made is true or not base on our actions. Everything we do can reflect what is most important to us. If something is less important to you, you probably would not spend time putting your attention to it, or just simply neglect it. From ones action we can see how much effort they put on certain things and how they value it.

Hey all, I'm currently in Changi Airport, waiting to board my flight to go home =) One and a half hour more to wait. Woke up at 8 today, kinda blur in the morning coz i went supper with my OG members and slept at 3am yesterday. Took me an hour time in the MRT to reach the airport. This is my first time going to Changi airport. Feeling abit lonely though. What an experience to travel all the way here alone, searching my way to the right terminal not knowing how before hand. Haha.

I didn't post anything for the last two days coz went to the welcome tea for Campus Crusade for Christ and Christian Fellowship. I'm still considering which group to join, but most probably will go for Christian Fellowship as there are more Malaysians there. Yet to know more and get involved in it. After 2 weeks not attending church, it feels great to get to fellowship with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and worship the Lord.

Throughout the two fellowship, I was reminded that I came here to NTU not just as a student, not to forget that I came here as a Christian also. God called us as a Christian first, then a student. Not asking you to neglect your studies, but in the mist of working hard to do well, we can make a difference in the life of others also. We as students, our campus can be our mission field, a place to show God's love to others and bring friends to know Christ. I admit it's easy to say than to do it, but let's try our very best. (correct me if i said anything wrong)

My flight is at 2.05pm. Hope it won't be delayed. Want to go home. Miss everything back at home, and I WANT TO EAT FRIED RICE!!! the fried rice in NTU is not tasty at all. Desperately need some nice fried rice. To all church and youth members, enjoy your camp yea =)

Time to upload some photos. Show you all some pictures of my room first. And guess what, my hall (hostel) building colour is BLUE!!! I'm glad I get this hall because it just renovated and everything is new inside. You actually need a pin number to enter the toilet and laundry room. I think is to prevent other people from using.

Really not in the mood to study now, no notes or tutorial questions in front of me. Someone suggested writing another post, so here it goes. haha..

NTU is having their extra curricular activities fair for 3 days. Today finally i have more time and went to take a look. Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering club was giving out goodies bag and free t-shirt, so went to get mine. Then went to collect some stamps and redeemed another goodies bag and t-shirt from student union. Got 2 tee for today =) After 'touring' the booths, i decided to register for some christian groups and piano ensemble. The audition for piano ensemble will be on next monday and tuesday but i won't be around. Hope there's a way for me to get in.

Last Saturday was the first outing with my OG after FOC. We gathered at canteen 2 for lunch then went to Bugis by MRT. It was raining but the weather was cooling after that. After reaching, GL nicholas brought us to an ice cream shop to get some nice ice cream. Then we went for shopping at Bugis street, bought a bag for $10, thanks to sin yee :)

At night we then went to Geylang for dinner. After walking a GREAT distance finally we get to sit and eat, was so tiring walking. After dinner we head on to another famous 24hours shop which sells soya bean and other taiwanese food, so sat and had my favourite cold soya bean. Suppose to go back after that but we went to explore some places instead, then end up rushing to catch the last train, if not will need to take a cab back which will be much more expensive. Reach my room about 12.30am, was tired but nice day.

Going back this Saturday to prepare for my piano exam. Want to go church camp but too bad can't join you guys. Have fun during the camp k. Sure it will be fun!!

Learning to start, starting to learn

Hi all, actually I was requested by people to start blogging since I'll be away from home. They say it's a good way to keep track on me?? Since darling Rachel keep asking me to start and even want to start a blog for me, I shall then give it a try, but no promise for frequent update k.

Although this is my 3rd week here in NTU but i would want to talk bout my orientation 1st. Freshman Orientation Camp (FOC) is organized by Malaysia Students' Association in NTU. First few days was busy settling admin procedures then with activities at night. The theme is ODYSSEY this year and my orientation group (OG) is called 'Athena'. Thank God that I joined this camp, I get to know friends and seniors, get to know more about the campus, get to do crazy stuff by the roadside of Singapore. Although every night will end up very tiring but it was really a great camp. Till now we still gather quite often for outings or dinner. Class started last week. Wasn't that busy but it will soon coz tutorial starting this week.

Definitely I felt homesick and even wanted to give up the first 2 weeks, yet i'm still here blogging. Haha.. how funny when thinking bout it. Just like i shared before this, I will trust God and continue on. =)
